After ten years, it’s finally back – our legendary Hofstettner Nua Stout! “Nua,” Gaelic for “new,” perfectly describes this beer: familiar, yet freshly reinterpreted. Originally brewed as a rather light stout, brewmaster Peter Krammer has further refined the recipe, creating an extra-dark, creamy stout with just 4% alcohol – full of character, yet pleasantly easy to drink.

Infused with nitrogen (nitro), the Nua Stout develops its signature fine-pored head and the velvety texture one expects from a true stout. To ensure this effect really shines, it is poured using a special pump – just like in Irish pubs.

Taste it straight from the tap at:

  • Chelsea Pub, Linz

  • Grad Plato Bierbar, Linz

  • Elis Lounge, St. Martin im Mühlkreis

On the palate, the Nua Stout is full-bodied and well balanced, with subtle notes of cocoa and coffee, supported by a gentle residual sweetness and a pleasant bitterness. A true highlight for the cold winter months – dark in the glass, creamy on the palate, and balanced on the finish. It pairs perfectly with hearty braised dishes, dark chocolate or chocolate cake, as well as smoked cheeses or robust Cheddar.

A beer for everyone who loves dark beers – and for those who want to discover just how velvety and light a stout can be
